They let the intakes in as long as they are the same configuration....so the Indy intake is legal. No sheetmetal intakes, though, it has to be produced by someone. I do agree about the no crossram wedges in 65, or the Hemi in the 63. I don't know the 63, but I do know plenty of crossram 65's running. Brother Bob, I luv ya, pal, but I do have to disagree regarding the "appearance only" deal. I really think, and what draws me to it, is the cars are or should be close to period correct as much as you can make them. If you allow single fours (they do allow single fours, but they have to be Carters or Eddys on a wedge) and the such you must as well just call it Mod ET or Pro ET. In addition, it puts the guys with the original type setups at a disadvantage. One of the reasons that those NSS races draw the way they do (and they do draw)is that they are not like your average bracket car. Perhaps a Modified Production class, seperate from NSS for those cars? Just a thought. I will certainly make allowances for ignitions, stuff you can't see, and any type of safety items. But, that is my Brother Bob, let's get two four barrells on that 66 of Selby's, and come to MD with us!!!

Can't wait.
I am going to get ahold of the Tedesco's and see if we can get an event up there, maybe using 422 Motorsports rules as they seem to be a nice mix, allowing tires up to 14x32.
What do you think?
I like the black (teddy) bear from Walton's Mountain's chances in that one.

You better get Ronnie and that snot nosed kid of your(Kyle) if you want to have a chance, you cute little Teddy Bear I think that since I'am the most fair and honest(balanced) I should get to make up the rules.

Being that I ran nss for so many years my take is when they legalized them for the old nmca cause Indy was the class sponsor. I ran a low deck combo with stage six heads for years with a stock crossram. When looking at the motor it seem way more correct looking but found that that combo was not legal for the class any longer.I guess a Indy bathtub and alum . 605cu. in. looked more correct(LOL). Looking at the 422 rules with 14/32 tires seems to open the doors for possable more car count from some braket cars!! Personally I prefere the 10.5 rule. It makes it more interesting to make work with a faster car. Jake

Got me. In fact it is not legal in the CC events. My old motor was sold to a customer of mine and they found out about it and ask the guy to go race in a different class!!!! He has not been back. He even was mad at me thinking that I put a hemi in my car and sold him the motor knowing that the rules didn't alow the low decks. I told him to just make a fake pad at the top of the motor to look like a tall deck but he was already ticked off and does something different now. Jake

That amazes me..I know Damon runs a 496 low deck in his 61', but he runs the NMCA...I would think the single four barrel setup since it was offered in 64' and 65' would be legal....Barton has been running one in AA/SA in Caro's 65' in the NHRA..

paul, im not doubting you but what intake were you using to get the 8 second pass. this year should be interesting, are you turning up the wick or just freshening up the big wedge? my new bullet is almost done! maybe you'll show up at pittsburgh this year with your car. a nice little get together and a BBQ.
