This is the dual plane 4500 manifold. Looks interesting. I don't see anyone talking about it....
Anyone try it yet? Impressions?
I acquired a 426-2 and a Barton/MP 4150 both for an excellent price and plan to test both of them, but for 572ci I'm also guessing it will probably be like trying to breathe through a drinking straw.

I was going to start off with the current stuff, 4150/1000 race demon or quick fuel 950. Just to get it going and see what I think.
I can also do a reproduction 2x4 with two 600s, but it seems out of place on this build so I figured I'd save those for later.

I have run the 426-2 with a 1050 Race Demon and it ran pretty strong. 5.98 @ 115.7. #2950 I am hoping for an improvement with the 426-3 and Dominator carb. Mine is 572" as well, pump gas, street driven.

I have been considering it....I currently use the 426-4 w/o an air cleaner and I am real tight to the hood scoop...I just don't want to kill off 60hp with it. can't find anyone who has done back to back testing on it.

How can 2 4 bbls look out of place on a 426 Hemi? Unless you are building a NASCAR clone Superbird. There are some great intake manifolds now-a-days.

Mark I vote that to be the best looking engine in a Allstate in recorded human history.

That's what I'm talking about 😎 Video says +60 over a crossram...wow Rick not out of place due to appearance but not right for the combination. Maybe I should try it anyway just because....

The only 2-4 intake that fits under the cowl is a Rat Roaster X Ram, and I expect trouble with that on the street, but I will try it. I am testing the 426-3 at the track this spring. It works well on the street. The 426-3D is an option too. Thanks, Mark

Zippy...I don't now what heads you'll be running or how much cam you're gonna use, but the Barton/MP 4150 intake will be stronger than the Indy 426-2. I'd think the 426-3D would rank below the Barton, but be somewhat similar to the 426-2.
I should have taken some pics the other day, but I will later this week...I have my hemi out and apart. I have the Barton 4500 manifold on the table next to the big Indy 426-4.

If your heads are ported, I think you're gonna be leaving a lot of power on the table w/ anything less than that Barton manifold.
I guess it's how you want it to act. I want max power and can put up w/ what some would probably consider too "racy" of an engine for the street. That Indy 426-3D should be a great street intake. If my dad didn't already have a factory Vanke modded dual 4 intake, I'd tell him to get that 3D manifold for his 540" street hemi.

I have a 426-2 and a 426-3 manifold but never did any dyno comparisons between them. I opted to go with my dual Indy Dominator tunnel ram instead just because Hemi's are supposed to have dual carbs. Looking back on it now I wish I would have dyno'd it with all 3 manifolds. Undoubtedly, the tunnel ram is making more power though.
