I have a R3 block I want to add a accumulator I am looking at two way and which one will fit . I am looking at a accumulator adapter that goes between the the block and filter with the oil pan I got on the motor I have to run 3 inch round filter so I need to check to see if it will fit who makes the best adapter and if that does not work I will mount a remote oil filter . who make the oil adapter so I can run my lines from the block to the remote oil filter were I hook the accumulator and which accumulator is the best . THANKS

I've used both Moroso and Canton 3 quart accumulators, My next all out race motor will 3 quart Canton on it along with a remote oil filter adapter that uses the big NASCAR size oil filter like the HP6 size Fram on it also up( I only use Wix filters now, not Fram tsk
I'm going to plumb a #12 AN male T in between the oil filter on the pressure side going to the block for the accumulator line work up scope
All the oil filters I've cut apart have a anti drain back valve built into them so my thinking is get the line from the accumulator between that valve and the block so it won't allow the oil to go back to the oil pan under pressure from the accumulator work twocents

I have a Canton on my 67 Barracuda and a Moroso on my 70 Cuda. they look identical. So, who makes them? Your choice . I run big block and Hemi , no idea on R3 adapters .

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

I use a T in the front china wall with one line coming in from the remote filter and one going to the accumulator.
It seems to work O.K.
I tried to clean up the passage in the filter boss and found water jacket immediately , so I had to block that off and tap the outlet for a 1/2 " NPT to -10 fitting and run that to the remote filter.

This is what I do as well and it seems to work fine.
