Hey guys,

Fought with this some today. What is the correct routing for the speedocable on a 1969 440 B-body 4-spd car?

The last one melted sitting on the h-pipe where it turns and goes into the tranny.

Any tricks for getting the cable on the speedo? It didn't seem to want to lock in.

Thanks !

theres a cable tab on the drivers side underneath floorboard which the cable goes in to keep it away from the head pipe, its a clean and straight run right to the speedo on the transmission.

Thanks, I had a section of drivers front floorboard replaced . Guess they left that tab off.

I've come up with a temporary solution. I took a fuel line bracket I had sitting around and bolted it to the floorboard through the gas pedal stud.

I routed the cable through it, and it seems be working ok.

After a little bit of this , I did some of this , I hope I won't be doing any of this in the near future.
