Go Bob GO!! You must be pretty confident on your ability to make some waves to make the commitment! We’ll live vicariously through you!!
So how does one pack for this?? What kind of spare equipment do you have? We have a complete spare BAE motor from pan to intake manifold including injectors, rails, fuel pump, oil pump...just pull one out and put the other one in. We have 2 spare 3rd members, 2 spare transmissions, spare mag, an extra converter, one spare complete head, and just about 2 of anything that can fail including axles, CF driveshaft, wheelie bars...the list is pretty extensive. We just got a new(actually a demo) 44' Intech gooseneck that Murder Nova used for 6 months last year. We feel really confident that we can compete. Still searching for the best tire, though. The medium M/T Bubbas work pretty well but we think the big Hoosier P/M tires might be a bit better. As soon as we get both motors freshened we'll get out to test. Our first race will be in Sonoma at Boddie's deal March 2,3. Then March 30 is in Bako for the WCHRA deal. We'll use these to test. As soon as the Street Outlaws No Prep schedule is posted we'll hit that full time if all goes well.

209 in the 1/8 is just flat out haulin. One of our local grudge cars has been 3.69 at 210+ in the 1/8 & that is on true 10.5" tires. Crazy what some of you guys are going these days. I just can't afford to ever go that fast, prepped or not.... Now that is NUTS!

They have been rivals in Drag Week for many years now.

discovery must be paying these other guys something to fill the field. Who would tow all over the USA and lose?? LOL
I mean seriously, some of these guys are way out gunned and still keep showing....?? that's some DEEP pockets. If you have ever towed 8, 10 or more hours to race, it gets expensive with just fuel, food, and hotel bills. Even if you rough it and sleep in your truck or RV or trailer, its still a pretty good expense. All to go face 3 sec cars ?? I mean B-Rad , Eric Bain, Bobby Ducote, Etc these are 4 sec cars im sure but way outgunned otherwise...

I'm sure they get compensated in some way to be on the show. Some may say otherwise, but a lot of these guys already get paid for track appearances all over the states. I have a tough time believing some of these guys actually think they can win and would go all over for nothing.

Lutz has screwed over a few customers in the past with shoddy or incomplete work too. Larson is well aware of Lutz's character off the track. Lutz also had a problem of borrowing parts from other racers and not returning parts. Larry is a class guy and lutz is in a class all by himself.

I have a tough time believing some of these guys actually think they can win and would go all over for nothing. I actually know how this works. There are some guys getting paid show-up money. It's $4,000 and up depending on character popularity. The also-rans get nada. They do it for vanity and TV exposure.
