Stock Mopar magnetic pickup recurved with a big gold MSD race box, 404B,404C, 7,7C,7A,7ALA and now a MSD Grid with a non programmable digital 7 with the proper col for the MSD race boxes, not a big yellow Accel or any other coil designed for a points type ignition ![tsk tsk](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/tsk.gif) I've also used both of the MSD distributors with good results also ![thumbs thumbs](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/thumbs.gif) The Mopar brand of ECU kind of scare me so I step up for better ![thumbs thumbs](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/thumbs.gif)

Stock Chrysler magnetic pickup distributor that I rebuilt and recurved feeding an MSD 6AL. Reliable, cheap and works great.

572 hemi in the cuda has an MSD billet distributor, MSD 6AL, MSD crank trigger, MSD 2 step, and MSD 3 stage timing retard. Want to change to MSD digital 6AL programmable sometime soon for more tuning capability and it replaces 3 boxes w/ one small box.
440 w/ Indy SR heads in the road runner has an MSD billet distributor, MSD 6AL, and an MSD 2 step.
440 6 pack in dad's road runner has an old Mopar distributor and an MSD 6AL.
340 in the Demon has an old Mopar distributor and an MSD 6AL.
436" SB in the Camaro has an MSD billet distributor, MSD 6AL, MSD 3 step, and MSD digital retard box.

Doesn't seem to be alot of reason to spend the big bucks on the MSD distributor from the sounds of it. Now I just need convince myself to jump back to a basic electronic distributor instead of the Unilites that I've been running for years. I need to buy a distributor for this project anyhow so maybe it's time to try something new, or not... ![work work](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/work.gif) I hate change. I run a stock type distributor with crank trigger, and MSD digital 7 programable. I run alky, NGK plugs, 15/1 compression.

The more I play with stuff the more I like the stock Chrysler distributors Especially when they are so cheap. I bought a box of 6 used ones for $8 a few years ago.

When you get 6-8 or how ever many you are sick of looking at, let me know. We can set up and time and I'll take them off your hands and give you 5 bucks each for storing them for me. I'm serious too.
Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston
