Just thinking of a beach 4x4 and wondered what year Traildusters and Ramchargers had tops you could take off

74 thru 80 but the 74 might be the funky door frame attached year only.

From what I understand on the 74 models the early 74's had the upper door frames as part of the removable top and because of complaints and poor sealing in that area they then went to the same door as the pickups with the full frame around the window and not part of the removable top in the later part of 74 model years.

74-80, Mid February 74 the change was made, it was for production purpose, the pre change over Ramchargers , the doors were cut on the truck on the assembly line and then the window frame section was welded to the top before that top was placed on that Ramcharger. each of those tops were specific to the truck it originally came on, yes you could swap tops between these specific trucks but each truck had it's own "door " clearances hence the cause of a lot of the fitment issues that plague those pre change over tops tops today.
