I figured I would complain to Budweiser directly this was their response.
Dear Jesse,
Thank you for watching the Budweiser Top Fuel Dragster over the years, and for getting in touch to share your thoughts. We are always glad to hear from friends of Budweiser Racing.
You mentioned that you were disappointed when Anheuser-Busch announced the 2009 season will be Budweiser’s last as official beer sponsor of the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and as primary sponsor of Kenny Bernstein Racing and the Budweiser Top Fuel dragster.
The voice of fans like you is always important as we consider the future of our sports marketing. We are sharing your thoughts with the Budweiser team. For our part, we have enjoyed a great run with both Kenny Bernstein Racing and the NHRA. They have been great partners and together we have grown the sport together for many years.
Nothing changes what our relationship with KBR and the NHRA has meant to us. We are proud of our thirty year sponsorship in motorsports. And, we hope that all drag racing fans will ultimately appreciate everything Budweiser has done for the sport over three decades – sentiments both Kenny and the NHRA have expressed to us privately.
Beyond that, Budweiser and sports go hand-in-hand. Sports and sports fans like you will always be a part of our marketing, and we will continue to brew the same great Budweiser.
Again, Jesse, thank you for writing and for voicing your thoughts on the NHRA and Kenny Bernstein Racing.
