I installed a 8 point rollbar in my car last year cause the boat was going a little too fast for the rules. I took it out a couple of times and no one said anything about my factory seat belts. I was just wondering if I had to have a/m belts or can I still get by with factory belts. I plan on going a little faster this year but not too much. Mid tens everyone is telling me. Thanks

NHRA = approved 5 point harness newer than 2 yrs old at 11.49 or faster.
You will feel much safer being belted in proper.

I thought I needed the belts . I just didn't want to make the change if I didn't have to. I kicked around the idea of a roll bar for two years before I put it in. It's still a stock looking interior and I really wanted to keep it that way. Thanks for the info.

My Volare still has the stock interior with a bar. The seats were split and sewn to allow the shoulder harness & crotch strap to come thru the seat.

That is a good idea. The seat looks good like that. Thanks for the info.
