I think of him from time to time while working on my Dart. The Strange front brakes on it came from Fred, he bought them for his S&M Duster but for some reason they wouldn't work.
What became of his cars and parts? Don't know but I will tell you one thing that Tedder big inch Hemi in Freds orange Cuda sounded GOOOOOD!

I was at Atco when he crashed the S&M Duster. The car went straight up in the air and landed on the guardrail. I walked over to his pit after he got towed back. From what I could tell, he was a little shaken up but handled it like a boss and almost made it seem as if it was no big deal. I'll always remember that!

Never met him in person, but we traded a few e-mails. Seemed like a great guy to me.

I met him many many years ago at the Bob George Mopar race at Keystone. I think he only made 1 pass all weekend and sat by his trailer and BS'd all weekend. He like myself enjoyed spending time at the track racing AND BS'sing. LOL

I think I met Hemi Fred through Stewart Pomeroy. I met him in person at the 2008 Hemi Reunion. I think it was the next year I went up to Carlisle and the York US 30 reunion. Fred told me to stop in and say Hi! I walked in with Dick Oldfield and Fred saw Dick and totally never saw me. When I got back to Dallas Fred sends me an e-mail asking why I didn't say Hi. LOL!
