Made mine out of 3/4" x.060" steel angle from Home Depot. Mounts the fuel pump as well. 6 3/8" bolts, 5 go through the frame rail. Doug

Think stainless for it.. there are pre done ones you can buy.. I made a stainless one for both of my cars(strip only and my street rod)

Whatever you use, remember that the battery cannot be secured to a mount that is not considered part of the frame or properly secured to the frame. Minimum of 2 3/8" fasteners to secure the battery. Can't just stick a box in there with some screws, sit the battery in it and call it a day.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
