Anyone try and use it instead of the undercoating stuff that was sprayed when new?
Was also wondering if it would look ok under a glass hood?
I was goIng to smooth the underside of a T/A hood.
I Hated the stock look on how ruff it was so I lighty blasted it since it was painted. Then blocked it and filled most of it.At this point unsure if smooth would look good or maybe a Rock Guard for some texture?
Any brand or aplication prefrance?

I use this stuff all the time. Ive used it on the inside of a few Cuda quarters and it looks pretty good. Not as thick as the factory stuff though.

I use Medallion or SEM brand. It comes in White, Black and Clear. I usually use the White if Im painting over it and the black on the backside of fenders.

Do you put it on the primer then then paint it?

I would be a bit worried about using it on the bottom of a hood... remember the undercoat/rock gard is not catalyzed and the fumes from the engine, leaks, etc... could cause it to break down. Also, most of the time it softens with heat and the top of the hood gets hot... I would be worried it would come down or get real soft and anything it touches would get the undercoat on it...
