I'd like to lose the big iron high-mount alternator bracket and replace it with the non-AC triangle bracket. Am I correct in assuming the 4 sheave crank pulley and the fan pulley needs to go too? What about the power steering pulley?

I would think that at least (1) of the 4 groove crank pulley grooves would line up for you & 440source has several thickness of pulley spacers, as you do want dead on alignment. Mockup & go from there.
