I have a 64 Shortbox that I originally wanted to make a Gasser out of but Im not sure what I want to do now. Should I go Gasser, stub the front with a 72 up clip or use the whole frame from a 72 up? How hard is it to swap the frames? Thanks.

Well, it's already kinda gasser, so really the question is "Do I leave it, or update the front suspension?" The straightaxle is already there, so it WOULD be less work, for sure. Do you like the way it drives/handles now? If that doesn't bother you, then gassing it wouldn't bother you at all. If you want to go IFS, you might be just as far ahead to slide the body onto a later frame if the wheelbases are OK.

I havent drivin it yet. Doesnt currently run. I know I wont care how it drives. Its not the fact of the suspension being updated but the fact it can and will be lowered. I might just leave her be for now and do a disc conversion since I plan to run a '69 440

I think bigdad's got a Sweptline of similar vintage. See if you can find some pics.

If you plan to lower it, that's as far from Gasser as you can get, and if that's the case I'd focus on heading in that direction right from the beginning. No point in spending $ more than once on this kind of thing.
