dogdays I Live Here D Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 16,376	Bench testing is, as described, on a bench. Testing on the transmission while it's still in the car isn't bench testing. However, I'd say you have to have some sort of rotating cogged wheel running close to the sensor. Output should be a square wave. This'd show up on a voltmeter as AC voltage. There shouldn't be any DC voltage. You can buy a decent sensor for $30 if you look. R.
