Once again, this is a preference of the individual supplier...not based on logic.

And, once again, the anecdotal stories of failures right after a fluid change are probably from systems that were marginal before the change.

I converted my 1980 W-150 in 1994 and never had any problems but this year I had a caliper leaking so I changed them both of them out and put the old pads back in since they were sill good but that dot 5 soaked in to the one set of pads which I thought it would burn of like dot 3 but had to change those pads out
