In the past I have always built my own cars including 2 48 Plymouth coupes, a 34 Plymouth coupe and a big block 73 Cuda. Have been without a car since the fall of 2016 when I sold my last 48 coupe and got the itch for another car. Started talking about finding something to build and my wife reminded me that I don't really have an adequate place to build and I am now traveling a lot for work. She was right on both counts (hate when that happens) so my response was "then I will buy one that is already done". She said "that was not what I was going for" and I said I know, but I want another car. Ended up finding a 37 Plymouth coupe that looked to be in pretty good shape and built well. Has a 99 model 360 with a 727 and a Dakota rear. Flew to Detroit looked it over real good, paid for it and immediately jumped in and drove it back to Plano Texas. Have had it for a month now and done a few things to upgrade it a bit. Rebuilt the transmission, added a new fuel pump and just tinkered with it in general making some carb and timing adjustments to get it running better. Have been really pleased with the car so far and look forward to making some future upgrades.

Welcome to the board.
I'm so envious, the '36-'38 Plymouth is on my bucket list but the bucket is approaching quicker than the bank account balance.

Interior color is not really my favorite, but it was done well so I guess I will live with it for a while. I have already removed the "console" below the center of the dash and installed a new four knob AC control in the dash. The stereo will be going in the glove compartment. Engine needs a little dressing up and I am in the process of completely redoing the AC including rerouting all the hoses to clean things up under the hood some. The center section in the trunk is removable so there is room to keep things hidden behind the wall. The battery is behind the wall on the left under the trunk hinge.

Jeff It has a dropped front axle with dual leaf springs with a Vega steering box. The axle from Butch's Cool Stuff uses Ford king pins/backing plates and disc brakes.

I like it. Try to post more pictures from time to time. I bought a 35 Plymouth coupe late last year. It should be my last big build after I finish the wagon ( this summer).
1957 Dodge truck, Snakeskin Green with a little stroker motor. 1964 Plymouth Savoy wagon ( my new project)
