Looking at installing a 93 5.2 Magnum into my 74 with a NP435 trans. Anyone done this? What flywheel would work for this?

And now I'm wondering about if the pilot hole is deep enough for the input shaft.

I think this flywheel will work with the 5.2. It's 143 tooth with milled slots for the crank sensor.

That flywheel should work with a 5.2 magnum. Just check for 2 things- its correct for the year application and if its flat, you use the proper clutch. If its scalloped, use the proper clutch. I got burned on this with a napa flywheel (scalloped) and a sachs 12 inch clutch (flat).

As for the 435 input, I'll bet a 318 will be rough drilled at a minimum. I have had 3 1992 318s that were drilled, a 2000 318 that was drilled, a 1999 5.9 that was rough drilled, and a 2001 5.9 that was not drilled at all. I had to cut 7/8 inch off my 435 input for the 2001 and use the mopar performance roller input bearing in the hub of the crank.

I also think the 12 inch clutchs are smoother than the 11 inch ones- but need to be sure on flat vs scalloped flywheel. 1992 service manual briefly alludes to this in one little sentence but does not elaborate.
