Hi all, 1971 Satellite Sebring Plus, with factory A/C. I'm preparing to put my A/C-Heater box back in, and noticed this rubber thingie in the firewall, just below the blower motor. Interior side: https://photos.app.goo.gl/CfwDcvPFMCfLqW8K2Engine compartment side: https://photos.app.goo.gl/RCHABaDayGsUg8Ez1Is this supposed to be connected to something? It doesn't go anywhere on the engine side. Is it possible someone cut it off? My factory service manual just shows something there; it doesn't say what it is. All suggestions appreciated, thanks. Roger

Basic evaporator drain. Make sure it's not clogged. Connected to the heater box and passed through the firewall. Turns down and dumps condensed water from the heater box outside the passenger compartment.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, but I think I figured out part of the mystery. The "Inlet Air Door actuator" is located on the forward part of the A/C box, right next to the firewall: https://photos.app.goo.gl/DRzmSE9Gflk37WM43There are two vacuum lines that operate this actuator, and two more that hang down past the actuator. I believe these latter two are supposed to connect to the lines on this firewall plug (one is larger than the other). They appear to have been broken or cut off, likely by a previous owner. Does anyone know if something goes on the other side of the firewall, or are these perhaps just vent lines for the Heater-A/C controls? Btw, the evaporator drain line comes directly out of the lowest part of the A/C box, directly through the firewall (the downward-facing tube to the right and below the blower motor in the above pic).
