I also trimmed the rear deck padding to clear the speakers and glued it to the rear speaker deck panel

The speaker tray panel is in place, the sail panels are in, so basically what I'm saying is I've finally started to finish the headliner install.... excuse the dust

Great work Bob! I'm way behind you with my Duster project but I am starting to feel the excitement with the progress I've made lately, I can only imagine how you are feeling!

Your Cuda is a STUNNING example of a post 71 Cuda, not many out there as nice as yours is going to be

Thanks Scott, I appreciate that but it's just a driver. I've had a blast driving it and now it's time to finish up loose ends.

I cleaned up a few items today and installed them so the headliner and related accesories are almost done now...

Are the visors incorrect? I've seen these visors in later E bodies and I've seen this rear view mirror in a 71 Cuda. Is this a factory late 71 build mismatch?

Huge thanks goes out to Resto Rick for his "How To" instructional for installing mopar headliners.

A portion of lap belts to show date codes... Tags varied by sets from 4371 4671 and 4871, I'm guessing those are the dates by week/year?

I pulled the seats, remaining lap belts, carpet, vacuumed the floor this is a pic of the floor prior to cleaning. A car this clean did not require a full on resto.

Thanks

It's a Duplicolor product for Vinyl and Fabrics, sold at all the major Autoparts stores. Duplicolor Dye I used the gloss black. The PN is HVP104, but FYI the parts stores showed it as HV104.

Roughly $8 bucks a can. Three cans should do a carpet.

Thanks. It would be good to hear if you have issues with it down the road. Probably none, I suppose.

Thanks guys, I have been hammering away. Not much to show but the interior is coming along, as well as the laundry list. The rear interior panels are in. I'll hopefully install the interior door panels this week.
As Burdar stated the cat whiskers fit loosely. The factory punch/pinched them in in 4 spots 2 on each end. The channel appears to be just a little wide but thats a matter of squeezing it. These are Top Cat brand from Dixie restorations. Looks like a good part. I had to cut it you can see it's long and would hit the bend in the panel. You can see the PN on the OEM part

I haven't had any luck finding the original owner of my Cuda yet... but I just got a call from a my nephew... he said another family member (the son of owner #2) told him to tell me has has what he believes is my build sheet. I'd been after it for years and even showed him a sample of one in case they ever ran across it. I was fairly sure I'd seen my actual build sheet many many years ago before I owned this car so, I was sure his Dad had one for this car. I'll have it possibly as soon as tonight

EDIT: My nephew now was with his cousin who has a packet of papers, he said "something had the Chysler emblem" on it, things are "folded up" and in a document protector my nephew is waiting for my call to meet me with what he has. I'm STOKED
