Wow the tail panel is really looking good. Your making great progress. That painted grille blends in really nicely to the rest of the paint. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Dennis, I really like the way it turned out. The pics actually kind of pale in comparison to what it looks like in person on this one. Look forward to seeing yours done as well, it looks great

Thanks Fellas. I blew a header gasket, my adjustable pinion snubber is annoying.... need to adjust the rear ride height up off of it... and the M/T's are shot and shaking me to death.... wind through no windows makes if tough to drive mirror moves etc etc. Top should be done in a few hr's though

Thanks guys, taking a break tonight.
Would you believe since I've owned this house the garage has never been left open....but twice since Friday the family has left it open and both times a cat came in and climbed all over the Cuda. I am extremely unhappy

I have been working late hrs at work (a little OT is good for my needed chrome) but finally I am back to work in my garage, a little anyway. I called Dante to order the front bumper and some other small items too.

There is a difference in vendors and some pride themselves on carrying better parts ...know this. I like to use board members. Want your hidden window clips rusting and undoing your hard work?

Here's a shot of the passenger side window molding in. I need to get cleaned up, Ma ma called and I am taking my inlaws to eat dinner....

For the next guy out there sweating this out...here's how I did mine. I can tell you no one will do it quite as carefully as you will

There were varying opinions on how to trim and seal the vinyl top at the drip rail/molding. To fold it over or trim it at the edge. I folded it over and sealed/glued it with 3M Super weatherstrip and gasket adhesive... $9.69 at your local parts store
I carefully thinned the "doubled over" seam section of the vinyl on the A pillar. The exposed portion you can see is unaffected. I used a razor to thin it down to a single ply and sealed it well.

I used a razor to apply the 3M adhesive to the underside of the vinyl a few inches at a time and simply held it with my fingers (the rear section is a little more complicated and taping it can help) The razor provides a wide easily controlled surface like the edge of a paint brush, this stuff is thick and dries fast

Then I applied the tape as far out toward the drip rail as possible, if you look at the drip rail trim you would see that trim holes are at the outer edge so I am merely placing the tape accordingly.. I did not snap a pic at that point I guess. With tape covering the quarter panel carefully started with installing the trim loosely so it could be fit together and aligned with the holes. I installed the screw loosely until all was assembled then tightened and then I applied a thin bead of the 3m adhesive to the back of the channel and applied the foam seal...then installed it...here it is loosely installed note the window guide is not installed

That top came out nice! What happened with the headliner? Inaccurate repop or just shipped the wrong one?
