What for engines do you and can you build using a stock length 440 rod with a 990 pin size? Can you use these rods to make a typical 440? or are they more used for stroker kits? I can get a set of scat rods cheap but they are 990 pin size and didn't know what they are really used for.

It is just a lighter, more common pin diameter originally used in BB chevys. I am currently working on a .055 over 440, stock crank, h beam rod, JE pistons with .990 pins. I am sure some of the others can chime in, so here is a
