you guys are great, this site is a reading dictionary,the krylon flat black dry sprayed looks like the origonal 68-69 dashes looked imo,you can spend more on the suede,but it all depends were you want your dollars to go,anyway,im cloaning a 69 satellite for a street car for my keeper car,(building a r-r dash)is there anyway to know were to put the emblem holes or the standing bird decal,does anybody make a template,or could i pay somone to make me a template,i hate to drill in the wrong spot on my new dash

I used Krylon flat on my Duster dash about 25 years ago and it still looks great. It also looks very close to the original texture.
