When did Dodge start installing 383 engines in 1967 Darts? Is there any documentation or literature about the 383 being available? The standard Dart brochure does not list the 383 as an available engine.

457 made in early 1967, 228 automatics and 229 4-speeds.

I use to have a document on how the unique driver side manifold came to pass but I can't find it.

I believe the 383 Formula S was available much earlier than the GTS.

Yes, Chrysler was not going to put the 383 in a Dart, they started with the Barracuda early in the 67 model year, then Mr. Norm put one in a Dart and drove it to Detroit and begged them to make it available to Dodge. That is why they didn't start on them until February 1967. tsk Here is a picture of the car that he converted and drove to Detroit.
