i can't remember if a '71 Abody gets the Saginaw or Federal style PS pump but does anyone make a new version. Not interested in flames on the river. Want to stay stock, thanks.

You can get new Saginaw pumps from RockAuto. What do you have is the question because the mounting brackets are different.
They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

I think Federal on those. What is your: trans rear end gear A/C or not is your car coded for? Some years and models that makes a difference Saginaw vs Federal.

So it turns out my pump is OK. All the play in the pulley shaft is supposed to be there for alignment. Thanks all
