Looking at the B-1 head sale they have going on right now.

I would have called them but they are closed when i go to work and closed when i leave work since i am working by myself right now.

But the question has anyone ever got in on this deal.

Just trying to see what else is needed to make these race ready.

The parts list they show on there website is leaving several things out that would make the complete.

Any info is greatly appreciated

I've bought two complete kits from them on their old special Xmas sales up
I traded one off for some chassis work and installed the other on a motor for a customer, no problems that I'm aware of shruggy
EDITED: They are race parts, not bolt on and go racing parts tsk
Like most race parts some additional work is needed to make them work for your combination such as getting your pistons correct, manifold alignment correct, correct cam for your deal and so on thumbs

Thanks cab.. I understand most of the latter you are talking about but i was more asking if the heads already have a valve job, come with springs retainers etc.

If the kit is like it used to be, there are no springs/retainers/locks/seals or spring cups.

They are "bare" unfinished head castings.

The guides are not sized(valves will not fit into guides), valve seats are left blank, deck surface doesn't really have a "proper" finish.
They didn't used to come with the drainback holes drilled and tapped, but I heard they do now.
I'd ask if you contact them.

To finish the heads with the minimum work needed to be able to run them(and make enough power to have made it worth buying B1 heads in the first place), you're looking at an additional $800-1000, plus the cost of the missing parts...... Another $700-1000+, depending on what the spring requirements for the cam are.

Koffels charges about $1450 to fit the guides, cut the valve seats, and Stage 1 porting(I don't know extensive their Stage 1 porting is).

From what I understand, the kit now comes with T&D single shaft rockers, although I'm not sure if they have the optional clearancing done to clear springs with a larger OD than 1.550.

Again...... Worth asking if you contact them.
