That track is built on a landfill. A "landfill" is a nice term for a dump. 🤔

This is a case where enviromentalism actually helped car people. 😊

Funny that you mention it Steve. The time I went before thursday(around thanksgiving), I was talking with a different tech inspector and he was bitching about the place closing but then he started to laugh when he was describing the amount of oil and buried tires the new owners would find when they started digging. laugh2

when I was a kid we used to go fishing and dirt bike riding at lot of the quarries in that area.. if I remember correctly the land under the Circle Track was never dug up.. the area where the parking lot and drag strips it's was a huge hole that was backfield primarily with tires.. however on the other side of the freeway closer to Lower Azusa exit there was a landfill that did get tilt UPS built over top.. that was before anyone cared

That's good news, I don't live anywhere near that track but I always enjoy all the videos everyone posts there.
