Be sure to get the recommended charger for it, or you will be sorry. So what is the recommended battery charger you are talking about? I don't see any chargers on there website.

I have to say I never used any Charger on all my Resto sealed batteries and never had problems. If I was stupid enough to work on the car using battery power like doors open or something I would then hook up my 20 year old charger to get the battery back to top shape. Maybe I just had Luck??? Not really a lucky person though. Ron

I just ordered a group 27 red cap from antiue auto battery. They make them when ordered so 3-4 weeks to get it I've had my yellow cap battery for 7+ years and my red cap for over 6. Follow their charging instructions and their batteries will last a long time. I've always used my craftsman 10 amp charger when needed during winter storage. DO NOT use a battery tender
