All of the box brands inflate the flow numbers a little. I would stick with a made in USA brand and depending on what you want out of your build will determine if you bolt them on OTB or get the most out of them with a decent valve job and some porting. I would say the Trickflow 240 heads are the best from a quality and flow perspective with Edelbrock performer RPM’s coming in second with the rest straggling behind.

Trickflow 240's, cnc ported Eddys and 440Source Stealths all flow really close to the same.

Different folks like different results, what is it you want from your car and its "543" motor?
I have a set of Victor M.W. ported all the way to the valve seats, I'm not happy with them on my bracket motor in my S/P car. The next motor has a set of CNC ported 440-1 with a set of Jesel paired shaft rockers and a little more compression to race it on E85 shruggy

If the question is "who's head flows the actual number they advertise?", I can say my Trick Flow 240's flowed almost exactly what the manufacturer said. I had mine flowed because I was having them ported by my builder and wanted to know what the difference was going to be when they were done.

The trick flow 240s, I flowed out of the box and they were pretty much as advertised. My Stealth and Victor heads needed some porting to flow as advertised, but you are comparing a CNC ported head to as-cast heads. The CNC ported Victors from Hughes flowed really close to advertised too, but that is an additional cost above the out of the box as cast price.

The flow numbers are only one piece of the puzzle when it comes to choosing the correct head for the application.

Yep. All these years and most guys still buy heads based on flow numbers.

Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston
