If you have to bring a trailer with spare parts you don't have a street car. That's how I feel about it. And before I get ragged on, Eddie's car had a jungle gym and huge wheel tubs, Larson won 5 times with no trailer. If you built a car to take to DW and it has no room in it then you didn't build a car for DW

I agree with sixpackgut, but a great deal of Drag Weekers bring trailers for convenience more than necessity. Easier to disconnect a trailer than unload a bunch of stuff from the car. My personal preference is I don't want the liability of the trailer on the drives versus the convenience at the track.

The letter of the rules say that if someone else is carrying your stuff in a trailer, they are a support vehicle, which isn't allowed. We usually have one person in our group who pulls a trailer, which carries generic stuff like tools, jack, generator EZ-up, bbq, coolers and his own stuff, but we keep personal stuff and spares to each car in the vehicle they are intended for.

Grab a couple of cheap moving blankets from Harbor freight. Great to throw on the ground for a nap or to work on the car, great to wrap stuff up in the trunk to prevent damage, and cheap enough that you just toss them away when the adventure is over.

Mike may have headed south for his winter trip, but he has been several times but as a "trunk monkey" as we are known, navigator co-pilot, ride along mechanic, whatever.

He and his driver stopped in 2013 outside of Bowling Green and helped my son and I when his MSD coil failed. I will say that my son's car is now a MSD free zone. (CNP).

More good info. So now I need to think of adding a pop up and lawn chairs to my list of things to throw into the trunk... or just sit under someone else shade. Some of you guys are larger than life, so I am sure I can figure out something.
Thanks again for all of the heads up info.
Still excited about the chance of going.

It is a fun event to attend and race in. Trunk monkeys are the heart of the event, they can be a lifesaver for sure!

I always bring lots of misc stuff that won't even work on my car incase other guys need something that is a Mopar only type thing. I've helped a few different guys keep their week going, and most will do the same for you.

Trailers are nice that you don't need to unload everything at every track everyday. Just drop it, make the changes you need and go!

Yeah I'm on vacation and still traveling.. I
have another couple days of that.. my buddy
had a 52 has a 52 ford PU and even being a PU
he would like to drag a trailer.. the the 3 day
mich one I will still drag a trailer.. its way
easier to drop the trailer to be ready.. all I
would need to do is drop the air pressure and
take a couple things out of the car.. I set the
trailer up so its a self contained type of unit..
has the umbrella on it and a vise mounted to it
and a compressor. a roll out tray/box
