I need to purchase a couple deep oil pans here shortly. The application is a 69 b-body. What are your experiences with milodon, moroso, and 440 source? At the price, the 440 source sound like a good deal. Is it too good to be true? I did a search and about the only complaints I heard was the notching of their windage tray, and one guy had some pinholes in the weld around the drain plug. I don't have any complaints with my moroso pan and I run a pretty tall tire so I don't worry too much about clearance. So what can you guys tell me. THX in advance, especially since this topic has been covered before.
Restoring a car to look "only" as good as the factory made it is like getting a boob job for your wife and having the doctor make them two different sizes to seem more natural

Hope your kidding....My leaks at every welded seem, even though I specified billet rail, I got a scrap welded one. Not to mention, they couldn't read the CAD print I had sent them for the pan I ordered. Front was off from the print over an inche, and they deleted my dipstick tube that was specified as well. Sorry, but they make total junk!!!!!

you need to grind off the lip on the K frame on the pass side

I make my own always from a stock pan. Usually change drain hole to the front so i can service the car easier. Have made deep but usually a semi deep pan is my favourite. Add about 1 1/4" to the pan sump. Have also made "bump out" pans like the early nascar pans from stock mopar pan. They work real well, especially for road racing. They fit the stock chassis and dont hang down at all despite holding 8 US qts. They are fun to make and it doesnt take long to do. Cleanng is the big deal. I usually gas weld them but have migged them too although gas weldng is much more fun.

yep, Thats what I do other than I add a 2" wide strip to mine.

I got a 440 source 8 qt. $79.00 one on my barracuda, 7" deep bolted right up , it is to deep for mine. wheel stands have shortened it up some but it still doesn't leak. I think I'm going to go back to making my own so it's not to deep, maybe put on a kick out.I'd like to have one of their aluminum ones but those are 8" deep and 10 qt's is a little much. 10 qt pan, 2 qt filter 3 qt accusump $$$$$$$$$. 
it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

becarefull that 10 quart oilpan DONT fit a A body hole is in the wrong location and rubs the centerlink but it makes a great flower pot !!!!!!!!

Ya, i know it didn't fit, it would be nice if they made one for a a -body about 5 1/2" deep.

I've used both the Moroso and Milodon,and I like the Moroso better.It fits best with my headers.
Nautilus Racing-
We use Superformance gaskets and Turbo Action converters/products.
