440PURSUIT OP pro stock Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 1,554 DC, MD Suburbs	I have a converter that seems to be made for trans brake with mid plate. Both came with tubbed pro street satellite. Engine is about 700 HP Converter lugs measure 1/16” longer than stock. Can this converter be run without the mid plate (different car)??? Customer may use the brake at a later date.

JD Dart super stock Joined: May 2006 Posts: 740 WA	If you have the setback room but I'm sure it will bottom out in the pump when you bolt the transmission up. How much clearance did you have with the other convertor? Some Mfg. will add to the hub and pads too for a mid-plate. best so far 8.53 @ 158.59 MPH 60'1.240

B G Racing master Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 9,910 Eighty Four, PA	Mock it up in a trial assembly with the trans and engine,if you have .125+ between the flexplate and converter with the converter pushed into the pump your good.If not mill enough off the pads to achieve the need clearance.
