That's a bargain to run 9's. Wish it were that cheap to make my dart run that quick! Add a zero and you would be more realistic.

yeah and I bet the eddelbrock was tested with real headers and exhaust, stick that on the already underrated 707 and I bet they are very similar HP numbers.

You're not counting the cost of the Car.....
So, $50K+ to run 9's isn't a bargain.....

Deduct the car / drivetrain upgrades and think what that would do in something 1000+lbs lighter. Hellcrate already comes with the unlocked PCM included, so deduct that too.

What about the cost of:
headers to fit the older chassis?
Fuel system required to support the power level?
What trans to use?
What rear?
Cost to stiffen the chassis, so the car doesn't twist?

When its also your 9-sec daily driver, does that argument still make sense though?

If you really wanted to, you could have a 9-sec hellcat and live in an apartment building.

No truck/trailer or shop needed and we know those aren't cheap.

It's a miracle that we (mopar guys) have the factory or aftermarket support we do.

Brand new GEN III 6.4 being sold on a Mopar fb group for $6,800.. Owner is going to a new 'hellcat' driveline instead. It's already starting.

Mopar_Rich has stated it would be better and cheaper to use the factory unlock PCM to run a Hellcat engine.
My opinion is that the dodge PCM will be coming out of the dark.
This is due to more people using them.
The future looks good.

Anybody have the wieght of this motor and intercooler stuff? I know the blower weighs over 110 pounds! Might be an issue, that much wieght on the front of some cars.
I think it is a great bargain if it fits your particular project. Cost a lot less tha a 900 hp big block, and will live a long life with very little maintenance. Add up the cost of maintaining a big block of similar power and you will see what i mean.

No question about it, an out of the park, home run, bargain.

I do understand the part of having to spend all at once, with no anticipation about what it might make, or will it have problems, and seeing it all come together.

Part of the fun is watching new parts arrive, working out all the combo, picking a cam, ect, ect, ect. Then putting it on the pump, and tuning it.

For what you get, the warranty, and the power it can't be beat. The time factor is worth the money in and of its self.

These guys claim 400lbs....I'm not to sure about that, I'm thinking it should be in the 550lbs area

As well said earlier, this offering isn't for everyone...nothing usually is! But for the guy who already has the car it's a pretty good deal of for that power level, along with reliability. Raise your had if you've ever grenaded a high compression, roller cammed 700+ HP motor?

The big question in my mind is can you bolt it up to a 727, or do you need a $5000 transmission??

Someone do the math...
Iron aftermarket block
350 cfm heads and valvetrain
Stroker assembly
Turbo or blower to run low compression and "pump gas"
EFI
Etc...

Will you surpass the $15K mark? I'm thinking so.
