Hi, my 69' Swinger had none orig. buckets in it when I got it. I found a 67' split folding bench out of a 2 door dart. Are 67' & 69' seats the same or will I need to find a 69' seat. I am wanting to put repro factory seat covers on, as well as factory head rests. THANKS for your help. Ron

The seats should be the same and bolt up, but the 69 bench had head rests and the 67 probably did not.

the bench seat frames should be the same, seat covers obviously different between years and models. Early 69 models came through without head rests, as the federal law went into effect on 1/1/69, so if your car was built in '68 it may not have had any. I read where prior to 1/1/69, you could order only a driver side head rest, but I have never seen this in person.

I think 67 bench seats do not have a back latch. Also the one I have has way less padding and the backs are thinner in profile. You would be better off with a 68 or 69 bench.

My Valiant (built 3/14/69 - almost a birthday girl!) had the latches and headrests on both sides. My Sport Fury (built 2/68) only had one headrest... on the passenger side. HR's were optional, and you could get either side individually or both. Strange stuff.
