I wouldn't use the actual brand name "Rhino Line" becuase its very thick. Some of the duplicolor spray can bedliner stuff would work pretty good though. I used it to do my front inner fenders and really like how it turned out. A friend of mine has his cage done in the same stuff but its a jeep.

How would you keep a eye out for cracks with that stuff on there? I like to kee my stuff bare so I can watch for cracks. It's lighter that way. It's easy to add or repair that way too. Only thing I apply to my tubing is spray lube and scotch brite pads. Never have to worry about nicks and chips in the finish.

I think it would make the inspector mad if/when you try to get the cage certified.

What I see was just patchs of it on the top side of the bars where you get in and out to keep from the paint get chip and beat up..it looked very nice. No way I do the whole roll bar..that kind of sounds crazy.. Color match on it also..

I definitely would not put that on a cage, I put this diamond plate looking decal on mine. You can get it at Wal-Mart in the auto section. Got alot of positive comments from people looking in the window at it, looks real!

Mike Baker himself once told me that any bedliner on a roll bar or cage is hiding bad work.

I believe NHRA doesn't allow plating of cages either

Use the 3M clear "helicopter tape" (aka ClearBra, etc) on the wear areas. You could also use that anti-skid tape too.
Spray-on bedliner material is pretty heavy.
