Still being talked about 40 years later...

I saw it out there...

Thee absolute baddest street car I ever laid eyes on, bar none...

I hope someone with the means returns it to just as it is in these photos...

A legend in these parts...

Going from a partly leaky memory...

- Lisk's car was fitted originally w/ a 3-speed Lenco, although may have been upgraded to a 4-speed as mentioned in the caption for the picture above.

- An article I came across sometime w/in the last year or so talked about the wrench routine that car went thru on a regular basis, including FREQUENT replacement of rod bearings (possibly the mains, too). That was a seriously high-maintenance beast to keep on the street...

Anyone know the back story on Lisk? He looks really young in some of these pictures but that was an expensive car to build and maintain plus it required some serious tuning. Dual Dominators on a Hemi is not an easy tune, especially in the old days without a wideband. I remember trying to keep a 440-6 combo tuned back in the 70's and it was more than my friends and I could figure out. No way could we have kept a Hemi with dual Dominators and a Lenco running back then.

Lisk either was a child genius or he had a bunch of money and some smart friends or maybe all three?

I have 40 years of experience under my belt these days and I'm still not sure I'd be able to keep a dual dominator Hemi with a Lenco up and running for regular street racing!

My Challenger is built to be a lot like this car. I also have dual Holley dominators on a Hemi for on the street. Old school with a flare of all of today technology also.
