What up fellas. My 74 "street" cuda made its fastest run the other day. I think this is pretty good for what I got. I went 11.48 @118mph with a 1.65 60ft. But you know how it is "there's got to be more in it". My combo is nothing special.I got a 440 .30 over with an old set of trw's flattops and stock bottom end.
Comp is approx 10.8
hughes 572/579 252/262 @50 solid cam
eddy victor int
demon 850
hooker comp headers
indy EZ's (stock ports)
TCI 3500 stall
3.91's with MT ET's (275/60/15)out back
This was done on STOCK suspension with old air shocks (rear) and a cheap set of Comp eng 90/10's up front. Now that I've done this I cant help but think that low 11's are there with a couple of changes. What yall think bout this. Am I really that fast or is this where I should be?

With 118mph I would think low 11's are within reach.
Why the air shocks??Can't be helping the weight transfer or rear bite IMO.

good job a convertor change and a mild port on the the heads would probably get you a low,low 11, maybe better, if it hooks well.

My 63 or my sons Dart would be a good race for you. They are both street cars also. My 63 has a .030 over 440 with stock bottom end and KB pistons that give me 10.0 comp with my 906 heads and I use the MP .557 cam. My suspension is stock and I was using air shocks also with a stock monroe shock up front and I use a Dynamic 9.5 converter. 11.52 @ 116 is my best with a best 60 of 1.58 and I use 4.30's with a 29" rear tire.. Your car is running very good and it has more in it with the 118 mph. We run a .030 over 400 in my sons car with Eddy heads and 3.91's and he also uses the MP .557 cam. His car has hit an 11.45 @ 117 so far. Work on your 60 now as you have at least 11.20's with your mph. Good luck. Ron

Well I havent changed the old air shocks cause I havent decided on what to do with my rear end yet.Cal-tracs or SS springs, heck maybe a coil over and 4 link. Im trying to save up $$ for that move. The track was the "House of Hook" in Jackson SC. It was a clear day in the mid 60's. I made 4 passes and got it to hook once.(which was my best) MY other passes were 11.90's and a 12.02. After the one good run I had to go. Da** I love these mopars. Ive always had Fords till bout 5 yrs ago. A comparable combo in a big block ford (lets say in a fairlane)would not have gone as fast.
