I'm getting ready to put my 57 Plymouth on a rotisserie (Whirley Jig). I will use spacers to raise the body 4" off the frame and then attach the frame to the rotisserie. I've done several B-bodies, but this is the first full frame vehicle I have put on one. Does anyone have some pictures of how you attached your full frame car to a rotisserie? I will use the bumper attaching points and have to fab some sort of an attachment bracket. Just looking for ideas.

My Whirley Jig came with a video that showed how to put a full frame vehicle on the rotisserie. They sold some spacers to help with the job. You might try contacting them.

Not sure what exactly you are looking for. Here are pics of my '55 on the rotisserie.
I have more pics if you want a specific detail.

I did contact them and bought the spacers from them. Video had long since been lost (I bought my whirley jig in '99). We discussed in general and I have a pretty good idea what to do but can always learn from what others have done.

The trickiest part for me was getting it off the frame and onto the rotisserie. The body mounts are easy to bolt to - even if you need to use a spacer.
I used an engine puller on the rear, while lifting the front of the body with my loader tractor.
Also, I had to fix the rear body mounts before I could use them to bolt to the rotisserie. Check yours!

I will use spacers to raise the body 4" off the frame and then attach the frame to the rotisserie. Looks like he is wanting to leave the body on the frame.
I have mechanical Aptitude. I can screw up anything.

Been away for several weeks so no chance to respond. I'm going to use spacers to raise the body off the frame, but mount it with the frame so I will not need to add stiffeners to the body. This is the way Whirley Jig recommended doing it. Since a 57 Belvedere weighs a little less than a b-body, keeping the frame on should not weigh much different than the b-bodies I have done. I have pretty well figured out how to fab the brackets to attach to the frame, so now it's just a matter of finding the time. Still working on fabbing motor and trans mounts before I put it on the rotisserie. Thanks for all the suggestions. Gave me good ides.

There is a reason to leave the body attached to the frame.

There is a reason to leave the body attached to the frame. Got it mounted on the rotisserie with the spaces holding the body 5" above the frame. It is very well balanced this way and easy rotate. When I'm working on the frame only I will probably have to flip the mounting points to get a reasonable balance point.
