Funny Cab. When he was younger, I used to pull him around the bike path with a rope tied to my bike. He'd skateboard behind me. At one point, he took a spill and skinned his knee, right in front of two ladies...he was prolly 10 years old. The lady walking with her friend asked him if he was ok. He said yes. Then she asked him if he wanted to do this, or if his dad was forcing him to do it. He said he was good. When we got moving again he asked me what was going on with her...Who knows, but I bet having fun didn't involve anything with any chance whatsoever of being injured or going fast!!

You got 10.9s MPH but not with that 60 foot. Better figure out how to get that thing to launch harder.

Is this Dynamic thats in CT ? I had the OPPOSITE experience with them.

Almost identical experience with a very similar combo here but I went backwards trying a higher stall converter. Getting ready to put the old one back in.


'63 Dodge 330
11.19 @ 121 mph
Pump gas, n/a, through the mufflers on street tires with 3.54's. 3,600 lbs.
10.01 @ 133mph with a 250 shot of nitrous an a splash of race gas. 1.36 60 ft. 3,700 lbs.

This company may have been in CT, but they're in Newark, DE now. This is the second converter from Dynamic. First one went into our N/SS car. That one worked well too.

My "good" converter (the one that works best) is a Turbo Action that has been beat on and never missed a beat. It is much more fun on the street to have a "tight" converter IMO.

Surprising how much converter size affects shift hardness as well.

Couldn't agree more. I like the 9.5" behind the 493 in the plymouth, but when I swapped the stock unit for a 10" in my 12 sec dart, I hated it on the street...

Two Dynamics
Frank Lupo converters in DE and Dynamic Transmissions in North Branford,CT
I had one of the 9.5 Lupo converters in my Belvedere when I put it together in 2004- worked great.
Good to see you're out there having fun with your son Tom.
Hopefully if I ever get back to Atco might reconnect with you.

I agree thats 10.90 mph with good hook. My best 60 is a 1.50 on just SS springs running 10.70's at 124 and change. I average from 1.50 to 1.53. You get that 60 in the low 1.50's you will be in the 10's.
I run the Luppo Dynamic converter also from Newark Del and I love it as it has worked flawless for me. Ron

so how is it affected ? smaller diameter and higher stall = harder, or the other way around ?
