Has anybody ran into hood clearance issues with the Schumacher hemi conversion mounts? I installed them in my cuda and now the air cleaner wont fit under the hood. The motor has a stock Chrysler intake and stock six pack style hemi air cleaner.

I have heard they do raise the engine approximately one inch.

I put a 426 Hemi in a 1970 Challenger on a BB K-frame with a set of adapters I developed myself. (I are an engineer.) They keep the engine at the correct position. John Arruzza sells them now. I have no experience with Schumacher Hemi mounts.

I used them on my Road Runner when swapping a Hemi onto the 3783 k-frame. The engine was raised about 1/4". I had heard about height changes and measured the centerline of crank to lip of k frame before pulling engine. When I ordered my TTi Headers, their directions indicate that conversion mounts raise the engine about the same amount. I went with a cross ram and cut my hood, so I wasn't concerned about clearance on carbs or intake. But the TTi headers fit great.

I thought Arruzza was out of business?

I had the issue when installing a 5.9 Magnum in my '68 A-Body. Ended up getting the stock rubber ones from them and using their torque tube.
