In the collector... 3 oclock or 9 oclock so it doesnt hold water, in front of the evac (up stream) if using one but try to get it in the flow of all the tubes for the best average reading, like was said slip on collectors can cause air leaks and give a false reading

Anybody have pics? Is it best to have two(1 in each header) or will 1 be sufficient?
I was also wondering if one is good enough or not.

I just run 1... cant affort 2 wide bands. I make a pass with it in 1 side then flip it to the other side for the next pass... if all is well, I pull the sensor and plug it

Agreed one for each side, run one side one pass then the next side. Lots of things can cause a need for jet stagger from side to side (intake/heads etc). I run mine at 9 and 3 O Clock on both sides. The car is street/strip so rather than mount it in the header I mounted it in the collector/reducer. I believe I read somewhere that the 02 sensor needs to reach a certain operating temp to work correctly, so put your bung hole as close to the collector as possible. Funny thread ...

I did not know that, thats what happens when you get past 40; info over load. In that case I guess you could put your bung hole anywhere.

I have mine in the exhaust pipe(street car) just after the collector on the full exhaust and another set in the colletor extensions for at the track testing with open headers, no difference in readings between the two I started out with a LM1 and then bought a FAST system with the dual wide band reading, I have since bought the LC1 upgrade for the LM1 do to its data logging and transferring ability which the FAST system does not have Thank twice and avoid buying twice

You done with that thing yet?
Don't run the O2 sensor unheated, you'll toast them quick.
