Can someone post a picture or something to help me out with my ignition key light on my '70 Cuda.I have the single yellow wire running down from the steering column with a female spade connector and I am not sure where it plugs into.I do have the A01 light package and correct harness on my car,but where I thought it plug into, the male spade connector is too large in diameter to plug into the female connector on the end of the light itself. And yes,I am not worth a shitz at reading a wiring diagram! Thanks for the help as always!!

70 column shouldn't have a spade style connector, it should be a round bullet style connector with moldex body...It plugs into the add-on light harness that plugs into the the dome light circut & a 12v source....If the harness is there it will have a small time delay relay that is about 1.25 long & .75 around taped to the main harness near the steering column...

Randy/Snoopy-Thanks for the help.I guess I mistakenly said spade type connector, when I meant to say bullet type connector. On the end of the actually light itself it has the round/bullet type connector just like the one on the yellow wire on the bottom right in Snoopy's picture.I'm pretty sure I was trying to plug it into the wrong harness.I'll check it out on Sunday and let you know. Thanks again for the help!!

Here is a picture of the harness, I'll try to get a more complete shot.

Thanks for the additional pictures Snoopy.Look like I have the wrong harness. The one I have in the car has 3 yellow wires coming out of it instead of the two as shown, and has a bare male bullet connector instead of the one inside of the plastic housing. Is anyone repopping the correct harness (M&H)?? Thanks

Compare your time delay relay socket with this one. The left wire is yellow with a black tracer.
The larger yellow wire on the bottom goes to the key lamp.

Yup,the larger yellow wire on the bottom has the male exposed bullet connector that is too larger to fit into the female bullet connector on the end of the ignition key light wire.

My key light has the correct end,but harness does not,so I assume I have the wrong harness(I think a 71-4 harness).Snoopy, can you also post a picture of where this light harness plugs into the main harness? Thanks for the help!

Three connections to main harness:

1. Yellow with black tracer wire plugs into a single female bullet connector with two yellow with black tracer wires.

2. The pink wire plugs into one of the pink three hole bullet connectors with one pink and one gray wire.

3. The yellow wire plugs into the female bullet connector wit two yellow wires.

Circled in blue.

Snoopy-Is that 2983713 harness number, the number on the tag or the part number out of the book?Or are they the same? Is 3513427 a superseded number for the 2983713? Thanks!!
