Gonna install air bags on the rear of my 2014 Ram 1500 4x4. Been towing a camper and just cannot get comfortable with the leveling hitch. Also adding a wireless compressor with a remote. I have my wife and grandson in the truck on camping trips. Need the truck to be more stable and safe for us all. Any experiences you care to share?

I installed electric airbags on my 71 W100 and glad I did. On a 700 mile haul bring a 64 Belvedere home, I could make small adjustments to get the hitch height just perfect for best handling & weight transfer, at the push of a button.

I have the air bags that go inside the coils on my 2014 1500. they work extremely well. Was fairly easy to install.

I bought a 2500, no need for 'bags... tonguue I did have them on my 2004 3500 quad cab single wheel 4x4 and they did help with heavy trailers as I would tow a 12K tag quite often. penguin

Do you add air line anti-freeze to them?

I did the same as viperdave did on my 2016 1500. I don't know what the 2500 is actually rated at but my 1500 is actually rated at over 3/4 ton. I know the suspension is roughly the same between the 1500 and 2500 except for heavier coil springs on the 2500. But, I have seen new 2500s with less trailers than I pull and they sit about the same as mine before I added the bags. I only run 25 lbs. and it makes a big difference.

That's what I want to hear. Start the installation tonight.
