For this build I went with a Hughes hyd roller. This build will be on the street 90% of the time so their was no need to go nuts with lift and duration. I was pleasantly surprised when the cam dialed in with no corrections required in that my last 3 builds required adujustments up

The gen 3 Victor heads arrived last week and were flowed out of the box. The next post will cover the flow numbers and the changes made to the heads. Lot's of work ahead sawzall

What are the specs on that there bumpstick?

I can't resist checking out any kind of fresh build pics, everything new, shiney, ready to rock and roll. Your lighting is really nice.

Well that should honk. Thumbs up.

Is that the Mancini cam button?

I used it before and had to do a little bump work to my timing cover....
(I've read where some like to preload it but I wanted a little clearance)

Yes, I've used the Mancini cam button on the last 3 builds with no issues. I do clay up the space between the timing cover where the button sits and water pump housing then measure the clay and epoxy the same thickness washer to the back side of the water pump housing to avoid any flexing of the stamped steel timing cover..

That Mancini button looks exactly like the Diamond buttons I used in the past work

Nice build...Do the lifter bores get bushed for this?

When is bushing the lifter necessary, if at all?

Thanks and keep the pics coming!

For this build I did not feel lifter bushings are necessary. If there is lifter bore wear
Issues, geometry issues, oil restriction requirements for race applications then bushing the lifter bores may be required.

Can you share some more info about the "3rd Gen Victors"? My google-fu is coming up blank.

I will on the next post. The changes have more to do with quality not performance.
