My RT/SE charger I just bought is coded for a V6F green stripe . Does anyone have a idea what shade of green this is . I have the f6 paint chip ,bright poly green, is this the color of the stripe . When I google it I get a few cars with a flat pastel light green stripe . I think it's called V8F green.

It's a stripe color, and not a body paint color.

I don't have the stripe info for 70 but for 71 (assuming it's the same) it is Light Bright Green (Ditzier 44229)

According to the 70 Charger registry available stripe colors were:

V6_ - Tape Stripe Longitudinal 4601 Built 49.1% N/A

V6F - Tape Stripe Longitudinal - Green

V6X - Tape Stripe Longitudinal - Black

V6W - Tape Stripe Longitudinal - White

V6R - Tape Stripe Longitudinal - Red

V6B - Tape Stripe Longitudinal - Blue

V8_ - stripe codes are for bumble bee stripe, not longitudinal stripe. So V8G is a green bumble bee stripe.

Does any one have a picture of a 70 charger with a green side stripe ? I already found most of that info above on the net . Ledger green from what I found is V8F.

Does any one have a picture of V8F and V6F stripes ? I would agree that all 1970 and maybe even all years of stripes with the same code should be the same color.

Correct, Code V6F, LG for Ledger light Green 1970 Charger side longitudinal side pinstripes, if that's what the OP has?...they are decals/tape not paint

I've got an original paint 70 Charger RT with the green stripe. I have a good picture on my computer I can post. I can tell you it is a lighter green. My car is white with green int. I assume yours is as well?

The Ledger Green name was coined by Performance Car Graphics to descibe a color that Dodge simply called Green. V6F on EF8.

V8F since it's easier to see.

stripe colors usually refer to one year, sometimes to one specific model.

the 1970 vinyl stripes for performance Dodges: Charger R/T (V6F & V8F), Coronet R/T (V8F), Super Bee (V6F & V8F), Challenger R/T (V6F) were all the same color, Chrysler Corp. simply named them "GREEN".

the above info was all that was required to obtain the correct stripe for your car while still available from Chrysler.

Your saying that both V6F and V8F stripes are the same color from Chrysler or they are now the same color that the suppliers make ?

Yes same color....V6_ is longitudinal stripe. V8_ is tail stripe as noted above. Two different stripe styles.....same colors offered, both decals.

I guess I need to see a white car with the green stripe to decide if I go that way.

The torn-off piece is from the interior trunk, so minimal fading. I placed it on 92-bright office paper so you can get an uninfluenced handle on the color. One on top of the original faded bumblebee, one on just original EF8.

Lets see if this works. My car has been inside a garage all its life except when driving or parked outside when in use. It is a 65,000 mile Texas car.
