Probably. But, just wanted to say I just got one back from being repaired by powermaster. They don't charge for labor and they claim the parts are at their cost on repair of power master products. There and back in a week. Customer service was great. But the shipping cost was ridiculous.

I cant speak highly enough about Powermasters... First I had my 12V alternator retro'd to a 16V system and the cost was only $30 something, including shipping...

Then I sent back a starter that had cracked and was out of warranty... without any communications from them, I received a reman starter at my door step about 5 days later... and at no charge to me..

They seem to be a great bunch and I recommend you call em up and talk to their customer service..

Give Powermaster a call. I've dealt with them a couple times and their customer service is the best I've ever experienced. I had one issue and the owner called me on a Saturday morning. Great company.

After not finding anyone local that rebuilds alternators anymore and from reading answers to this post(Thanks), I decided to send it back to PowerMaster. They said I would only have to pay for replacement parts and shipping. Will still be way cheaper than buying a new one!
Thanks Mike

UPDATE!
Sent it out to Power Master last Thursday and got it back yesterday(Thursday). I week turn around including shipping time.
No charge for labor despite the fact that this was a 2010 unit. $38 in parts plus shipping. Came to $66 total. That is a lot better than buying a new one for $240.00.
John in "Returns Dept" was very helpful.
I highly recommend sending Power Master parts back for rebuild.
Mike
