I am in the process of mounting up and cutting and drilling holes for the Vintage Air box for my 70 challenger. I have noticed (according to installation instructions found on line)that the cowl intake air hole on the passenger side is to be blocked off. The factory saw fit to put a door on the A/C equipped cars at this point. Would the vintage air work better (say for defrost purposes) with a working door here that would allow outside air to be directed at the blower motor. It appears that it is designed to only pull inside air. It seems, on other cars, that when it is raining and the windows get fogged up only outside air will clear them up. What do you guys think? jt

No. The Vintage air doesnt use that hole. It's an entirely different system. Plug it and forget about it. Dont worry, you have no yet begun to have to mess with that kit...lol. I've done one (non AC car, and watched one done (factory AC car). Both were unpleasant installs. But work decently. If you wanted factory air, you could have used that stuff instead. Not meaning to sound like a jerk, but you get modern stuff because it's better and have to deal with modern re-design.
Well, art is art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water! And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now, uh... Now you tell me what you know.
