I bought a repop piece of glass a while back for the Cuda and it was absolutely terrible. As it turns out, there are good suppliers and bad when it comes to glass. ECS tells me they don't sell door or quarter glass for a '70 B body, as their two vendors (good vendors) don't offer it. This leads me to believe AMD is selling the "bad" stuff....? There is a sale on AMD glass right now, and believe me when I tell you that it is MUCH cheaper than the quote I got from ECS. Usually a reason when something is far cheaper aside from being on sale.

So.... lets have it, anyone have experience? I am trying to avoid splotchiness and waviness. If it is splotchy/wavy, I'll send it back and go with my old scratched glass, thank you.

The AMD side glass I have seen and touched WAS wavy on the top front edges ...same as a lot of cheap (imported ) glass. With the glass rolled up you wont see that edge and the glass would probally look OK. I purchased some quarter glass (e-body) from a company called PS Auto Glass in WI. They had a much better price and the tint was a perfect match for my orig windows...But yes the top edge was a lil wavy but with the windows up or all the way down you cannot tell.

Not sure where it comes from, but XV Motorsports is also offering glass now, might be worth a call to them.

I just saw some of there glass today and yes, it is wavy at the top of the door glass edge. You do have to look for it but it is wavy. I will say for the money it is hard to beat but If your looking for perfect glass I would go to ECS.

Just curious how many here have actually seen the ECS glass in person or compared it directly to those being offered by others. I have heard it is good, but without ever having seen it or others, I wouldnt be saying one IS better than the other. I doubt many here are going off of real experience and probably more off of word of mouth.

I have a front and rear glass in my T/A and it is DEAD NUTS right on. From the Chrysler "bug", date code and the fit....you could not ask for anything better. But all that goodness comes with a price.

The AMD looks nice....but the bug looks funny and the top of the door and side glass does have a wave to it. So it is up to you, if you can deal with a slight wave that nobody with probably not see anyway is it worth 1/2 the price??

I agree that the AMD door glass is wavy at the top. I bought a rear Charger glass and it's very nice, as was the 1/4 glasses. I have also purchased an ECS windshield and rear glass for a cuda, and it was pretty nice. The best score however was a pair of convertible door glasses that Dave got me-they were original PPG! With his date coding they were perfect. It's too bad no one can get the door glass right, as it's the one that takes the real beating.

Apparently the AMD glass also has a non Mopar temper logo as well. That is a pet peave of mine. The crappy glass I had bought for the Cuda had that little logo and it shows when the window is rolled up. Kind of bold too.

I have a full set of AMD glass on my charger and I cant complain at all. It fits, it seals, and it doesnt have scratches on it like my originals did.
I did notice that the top edge of the side glass is a but wavy, but it doesnt bother me, nor anyone else.....yet.

With the %30 sale they are having right now I would say do it and dont look back.
