Yuck, is that the same 'like" material used in the holley floats?
Maybe you could produce some sort of "Texture" pattern on the outside so they would look a bit more time period correct.
Can that material be painted.
I think its a great concept if it can be tweaked a bit. not sure what type of plastic it is. It is on a big spool. I could ask about texture. My plan was to sand it and either paint it satin black or wrap it in cheap vinyl.

Good idea but how do you know the angle and space will fit with other cages Every one is custom I started with a piece of cardboard the same height as the arm rest, held it in place and took a pencil straight off the door pbar. From there my buddy scanned the actual arm rest inserted the data and printed it out. I usd the short B-body arm rest for mine
