Hello Gang.
Anyone know of a good source for a complete key set. The '69 Charger I have recently acquired has all the keys mismatched. So, with that said, it would be nice to get something that includes the ignition/doors and console/rear trunk...

Thanks..
Troy

Everything? New ignition/door and console/trunk keys/cylinders?

Look for a good lock smith in the area. They may be able to rework the tumblers to match the keys up. I had this done years ago on my 68 Road Runner.

Oh
A good lock smith in my area took my ign key and rekeyed my door locks to match it.
Your trunk key is different then the doors and ign keys.
You should have 2 different keys for the car.

Correct, originally, the trunk was for the console lid and glove box. I'll try and contact someone locally soon....... In a perfect world, someone's parted out a '69 B-body that has all the locks/cylinders and keys..

I remember when I had my 69 car's that the ignition was a one year piece and finding an NOS one (which I did) was hard and expensive.

I would pull the ignition switch unless you have the doors "open" and have it re-keyed to match the door locks.

It seems whenever I bought any of the "Restored" cars over the years I was always re-keying something. I can't stand having 3 keys but I guess many others don't care!
It's like a to do list when the car pulls in, get proper keys (2) total then send out steering box then etc...

Thanks for the offers, insight and suggestions. I called a local shop and they can do both door cylinders for $18 each... So I will just take two extras from spare doors I have and have them rekeyed and do my console and glove to match my trunk while I'm at it.

I know this is an old thread, but can the glove box lock be rekeyed to the trunk key? I have not found any post on how to get a 69 glove box lock apart to rekey? Thank you

I believe it depends on which lock you have. If you have the square back style, you may be better off to re-key the trunk to match. I had no luck with that one.

The round one was a easy fix for me to re-key and I never re-keyed anything before.
